Additional revisions, changes in direction, or requests outside the original scope may result in additional fees.

Estimated timelines are not guarantees when delays are caused by late feedback, missing materials, third parties, expanded scope, emergencies, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Photography & Recording

Photography, audio recording, and video recording may occur at certain events.

When an event is being intentionally photographed or filmed for promotional or commercial use, reasonable notice will be provided through registration materials, event signage, announcements, releases, or another appropriate method.

Event-specific media releases may be required where appropriate.

DJ Services Policy

This section applies when DJ Monie is hired to provide DJ, entertainment, or related event services.

Specific event contracts control when their terms differ from this general policy.

Booking

A non-refundable deposit or retainer may be required to reserve an event date.

An event date is not considered secured until the required agreement and payment have been completed.

Client Cancellation

Unless a signed agreement states otherwise:

  • Deposits and retainers are non-refundable.

  • More than 60 days before the event: no additional payment is required beyond the deposit.

  • 30–59 days before the event: the client is responsible for 50% of the remaining balance.

  • Less than 30 days before the event: the client is responsible for 100% of the remaining balance.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing.

Rescheduling

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • At least 30 days' written notice is required.

  • A deposit may be transferred one time to an available new date occurring within 12 months of the original event.

  • A $150 date-change fee may apply when rescheduling 30–59 days before the event.

  • Requests made 29 days or less before the event may be treated as a cancellation.

  • A revised or new event agreement may be required.

Cancellation by DJ Monie

If DJ Monie must cancel because of illness, emergency, or another unforeseen circumstance, reasonable efforts may be made to provide a qualified replacement.

If an acceptable replacement cannot be provided, amounts paid for the canceled services will be refunded.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, liability for such cancellation will not exceed amounts paid for the affected services.

Payment

Unless the applicable contract states otherwise:

  • Final payment is due no later than 48 hours before the event.

  • A $50 late fee may apply to overdue final payments.

  • Performance services will not be provided until required payment has been received.

Force Majeure

Neither party will be responsible for failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, public emergencies, government restrictions, venue closures, transportation disruptions, labor disruptions, or similar events.

The parties will make reasonable efforts to determine whether rescheduling or another appropriate resolution is available.

Returns, Cancellations & Rescheduling

Because different offerings involve different costs, scheduling commitments, and delivery methods, refund and cancellation terms vary.

Professional Services

Deposits, retainers, installment payments, cancellations, and project termination are governed by the applicable proposal, contract, invoice, or statement of work.

Unless otherwise stated, retainers and deposits used to reserve capacity or begin work are non-refundable.

Appointments, Coaching & Lessons

Cancellation and rescheduling requirements displayed during booking apply to individual appointments.

Late cancellations, missed appointments, or no-shows may result in forfeiture of payments or session credits.

Digital Products

Due to the immediate-access nature of digital products, digital-product sales are generally final unless otherwise required by law.

If you experience a technical problem accessing a purchased product, contact bookme@djmonie.com for assistance.

Courses

Course refund eligibility, if any, will be stated on the applicable sales or checkout page.

If no separate refund policy is provided, digital course purchases are generally final after access has been provided, except where otherwise required by law.

Memberships

Memberships may be canceled to prevent future renewal.

Unless otherwise stated, refunds or prorated credits are not provided for partially used membership periods.

Event Tickets & Retreats

Cancellation, transfer, credit, and refund terms may vary significantly by event.

The policy presented during registration for a specific event controls.

Unless otherwise stated, event tickets, reservations, deposits, and retreat payments may be non-refundable because expenses and capacity commitments are made in advance.

Physical & Print-on-Demand Products

Print-on-demand or custom products are generally non-refundable unless defective, damaged, or otherwise required by law.

Problems with damaged or defective items should be reported within 7 days of receipt.

Where a return is authorized, the product may be required to be returned in its original condition and packaging.
