This Is Not Another Business Conference
Consider This Your Permission to Step Away
You spend a lot of time "doing".

Answering emails. Taking meetings. Serving clients. Managing teams. Creating content. Solving problems. Meeting deadlines. Thinking about the next thing before you've even finished the thing in front of you.

Out of Office is a chance to stop operating long enough to think.
This intimate retreat brings together business and creative professionals for a few days of meaningful conversations, fresh perspectives, good food, new connections, and enough breathing room to think about where you're going next.

No crowded conference halls. No running from breakout session to breakout session. No pretending you're networking when you're really just collecting business cards.

Just good people, thoughtful conversations, beautiful surroundings, and room to think.

What If You Gave Yourself Room to Think
About the Business. The Career. The Idea. And What You Actually Want.
You don't have to be burned out, quitting your job, closing your business, or planning some dramatic reinvention to belong here.
Maybe your business has grown, but your vision for it has changed. Maybe you're ready for another revenue stream. Maybe your career no longer fits the person you've become. Maybe you have too many ideas and can't decide which one deserves your attention.
Or maybe things are going well, and you finally have enough experience to ask a better question:
What do I actually want next?
Out of Office creates space to explore that question without requiring you to have the answer before you arrive.

THINK
Step away from the day-to-day and look at the bigger picture. Guided conversations and exercises will help you examine what's working, what's changed, what you want more of, and what may no longer deserve your energy.
TALK
Some of the best ideas come from conversations you didn't know you needed. We'll talk honestly about business, careers, creativity, money, pivots, success, identity, opportunities, and the realities of building something of your own.
BUILD
Clarity is useful. Doing something with it is better. You'll have dedicated time to explore ideas, rethink offers, map opportunities, work through decisions, or start putting shape around whatever comes next.
BREATHE
Not every minute needs an outcome. There will be good food, music, drinks, downtime, laughter, and space to enjoy being somewhere other than your desk.
You are Out of Office, after all.
The Conversations
The Stuff We Usually Don't Have Time to Think About
Does this still fit?
What happens when you've outgrown a career, business, brand, role, or version of success that once made perfect sense?
What comes with me?
A pivot doesn't mean throwing away everything you've built. We'll look at the skills, relationships, knowledge, assets, and experience you already have and how they might serve what comes next.
Am I building the right thing?
Sometimes the problem isn't execution. It's that we've been putting energy into something that no longer deserves it.
What else could this become?
We'll explore new offers, revenue streams, audiences, partnerships, products, and ways to use what you already know differently.
What does success look like now?
Because the definition you were chasing five years ago doesn't automatically have to be the one you keep.
What happens when I get home?
Before you leave, we'll turn the ideas and conversations into decisions and next steps you can actually use.
You'll Leave With More Than a Notebook of Ideas
A Little More Clarity. A Lot More Perspective.
I can't promise you'll leave with your entire life mapped out.

I wouldn't trust anyone who did.

But you will have the opportunity to leave with a clearer understanding of what deserves your attention, new perspectives on something you've been trying to figure out, ideas for what your experience could become, meaningful relationships with people outside your usual circle, and practical next steps for when you return home.

Sometimes one conversation changes the way you see something you've been staring at for months.

That's the kind of room we're creating.

Yes, We're Actually Going to Enjoy Ourselves
Because Rest Is Part of the Assignment
This isn't a conference packed into an Airbnb.
Expect beautiful surroundings, thoughtfully curated meals, music, cocktails and mocktails, downtime, laughter, spontaneous conversations, and enough flexibility for the experience to breathe.
There may be a camera around.
There will definitely be music.
And some of the best conversations will probably happen after whatever was officially scheduled has ended.
That's usually how these things work.

Who's Coming?
Interesting People Doing Interesting Things
Out of Office is designed for entrepreneurs, founders, executives, professionals, creatives, consultants, educators, and multi-hyphenates who are building something, changing something, or simply thinking seriously about what comes next.
You don't need to have a massive company.
You don't need thousands of followers.
You don't need to arrive with a perfectly defined problem.
But you should be curious, open to new perspectives, willing to contribute to the room, and comfortable being around people whose careers and experiences may look nothing like yours.
The differences are part of the point.

The Room Is Intentionally Small
Because Who's There Matters
Out of Office isn't designed to put as many people as possible in one place.

The guest list is curated because the people sitting around the table are part of the experience.

We're looking for a mix of industries, perspectives, personalities, experiences, and ideas. People who are willing to share what they know, ask good questions, listen to somebody else's perspective, and leave the performative networking at home.

You may arrive knowing no one.

You probably won't leave that way.

Hosted by Si'mone "DJ Monie" Lewis
I've Changed Direction a Few Times Myself
I've spent most of my life building things.
Some worked. Some didn't. Some made money. Some taught me lessons. Some grew into things I never expected, and some I eventually realized I didn't want anymore.
I've built businesses in completely unrelated industries, changed careers, moved across the country, taught myself new skills, created DJ Monie, built brands for other people, and had to rethink my own more than once.
What I've learned is that figuring out what's next rarely requires throwing away everything that came before it.
Usually, you need enough space to see what you already have differently.
Out of Office brings together many of the things I love most: thoughtful strategy, honest conversation, entrepreneurship, creativity, hospitality, good people, good food, and yes, probably a really good playlist.
I'm not inviting you here so I can tell you what to do next.
I'm creating the room where you can figure it out.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, but not in the traditional sense. Business will absolutely be part of the conversation, but so will careers, creativity, pivots, personal goals, and the decisions that affect what you're building. We're interested in the whole person behind the work.
No. Out of Office is for business and creative professionals, including entrepreneurs, executives, professionals, consultants, creatives, and people considering what's next in their careers.
Not at all. You may be changing direction, expanding something that's already working, exploring an idea, or simply giving yourself time to think more intentionally about what's next.
Absolutely. In fact, I'd encourage it. The experience is designed to make it easy to connect with the other people in the room.
No. There may be opportunities for photography or content depending on the retreat, but content creation is no longer the purpose of the experience.
Out of Office is intentionally intimate. The exact number can vary by location, but keeping the group small is part of what allows the conversations and connections to go deeper.
